N00b question!: What kind of brushes do you use? I mean, we can all see which brushes are those, but is this set personal or have you downloaded it from somewhere? Thanks!

Thanks you so much for posting this, Your composition, it is amazing. And yeah that layer count makes me go fetal, but this is why I love art. Art like this is so inspiring to me.

xD Like I said, I usually truncate because this is a giant memory sink. Even tho I have 8GB (which by industry standards isn't even that much) my machine sometimes still slows down with that layer count =p

No problem. I'd post more but it's pretty much the same steps and progress all the time.

Your layers! They made me curl up into a small ball :(

Regardless, awesome tutorial! Just a question, were the first two steps the equivalent of painting with values first, except you do it with a slight tint of colour to get a sense of what it will end up to be?

Well, I usually just use the color it happens to be on, if it's not too saturated. I was working with brown last so its brown xD Not really anything behind it. And yeah, the layers are a bit over the top haha, usually I keep collapsing them, so I end up with maybe 4 or 5; not too useful for showing steps =)

Thanks. There are some stock textures in there like the canvas texture and a stone texture for some of the orange tinted rocks in the middle ground; tho it's hard to see since I painted over them quite a bit in the end.
