Both paintings are awesome! Dol Guldur is a fantastic site/set piece, but the great watchtower of Amon Sul remains one of my favorite scenes from the movies.

Hell of an entrance and first day on set Viggo!

I have visited parts of New Zealand where the Lord of the Rings was filmed, and I have a picture of a twilight moment on my desktop. You have captured the exact colours, my friend. Very beautiful.

Thats cool to hear! The lord of the rings version is much more Blue / Green so I figured I'd go for a yellow version instead, different take =)

Really, when you think about it, the Lord Of The Rings is a very depressing book, lol. Arnor is basically one big graveyard with a few huddled spots of civility kept safe by a dying forgotten people.

Like the other guy said. They're equally impressive, but it feels like you felt more secure with this painting.

Great lighting, both as a whole background and spilling through the doorway/archway and down the stairs.

Yes, you've improved, but you were very good to start with!
