For this one it's imagination only, but I have a massive stock library from which i pull random stuff when needed.

yeah, it's a nice shortcut - tho I prefer not to use them. Often I just have no choice, same goes for mocking stuff up in 3D. But yeah, take tons of photos on your own as well!

Now this I love to see, I really like how you start this rough and then work from there. Do you colorpick your colors from a reference photo/image or do you just experiment?

I'm really gonna try painting like this sometime, looks great!

Depends. Sometimes I see colors that I just have to have but atm Im trying to build a custom swatch list to keep pickings colors from there to unify my work. Tho I have to say, even when I do pick colors from ref I often change them around to give my own twist to em.

Amazing step-by-step painting! I'm glad you could upload this stuff here (thanks for doing it!). I find it really useful, it helps me a lot in learning to sketch:) That seems like a good way to get a painting done and I've been doing it completely different way, and I feel my way doesn't quite do it =P

Well, there are many ways to approach (speed)painting and none of them is 'the right way'. Finding something that fits for you is most important, the rest is secondary. I could upload my brush pack and you still might not know how to use them, because they were arranged and customized by me. Feng Zhu says it best in this weeks Design Cinema, I can really recommend everyone to check those out.

You know what, this occured to me: I've got some cool custom brushes of my own, it would be great if you tried 'em. It would be really interesting to see what someone else could do with 'em. You may find a brush you like! How does that sound?

Btw, where should I submit ABR-files?

erm I think you can submit them as download when you submit a new picture.
I can't make any promises i'll try em out; I'm a pretty busy person xD but perhaps I can manage a 40min speedy or something over the weekend =)
Let me know where you've put them and i'll have a look.

Ok, I'll just make a handy 3-6 brush set. And don't worry if you don't got time for this, I've been asked to upload my brushes here anyway so it won't be in vain.

I'll try to keep it up; but it's kind of annoying since it breaks my paintflow a lot

Lol, well..my last one, the wounded, isn't very good so I bet that'll break my streak =)
I'm not doing it for the winning, I just like having a topic handed to me every day since I'm too lazy to do it myself haha. But yeah we'll see =D
